Tag / Label Printer

Zebra’s mid-range, ultra-compact ZD410 desktop printer fits in the smallest of work spaces and is ideal for printing 2-inch-wide labels or tags. Printer can be supplied by Avatar Software Inc.

Receipt Printer

The Star SP500 (impact printer) and TSP100 futurePRNT (thermal printer) combine renowned reliability and a multitude of high end features into a compact, value-driven solution.
In Astrix this printer is used by eight different functions: drop off receipt, sales receipt, store credit, etc.. Printer can be supplied by Avatar Software Inc.

Laser Jet Sheet Printer

In Astrix the printing of consignor account items, payments, item lists, and reports are setup to be printed on 8 1/2″ x 11″ paper. Laser printers are recommended for this printing because they are less expensive to operate than bubble jet printers and are readily available at office supply stores for a reasonable price.

Wasp Barcode Scanner

The Wasp WCS3900 barcode scanner series are the most popular CCD barcode scanning devices in the Wasp product line. Manufactured for durability yet employing an exclusive ergonomic design for comfort. For fast connection, the WCS3905 can simply be plugged into a USB port. The barcode scanner sends data to an active application just like it was typed on a keyboard. They are designed for retail, point of sale, or any repetitive process where time and accuracy are important factors in making business succeed. The WCS3905 CCD barcode scanner is a contact scanner that reads barcodes up to 1″ away with a maximum barcode width of 3.25″. Scanner can be supplied by Avatar Software Inc.

Cash Drawer

Cash drawers can either be manually opened when required or opened automatically when a sales receipt is printed when the drawer is attached to a receipt printer. Cash drawer can be supplied by Avatar Software Inc.

Supplies

Tags and labels in a variety of sizes and colours can be obtained from Avatar Software Inc.

Pricing

Astrix is available in two variations; a single user version which runs on your desktop computer or configured to run on a network with multiple users using Astrix at the same time. As your business grows so can Astrix grow to support you.

The multi-user network version uses two or more computers configured to work on a local area network (LAN). The Astrix software with its database is installed on one of these computers which is then designated as the main computer or server. The server can be a good quality desktop computer and does not require any special equipment or operating system to run the network version of Astrix. The software is installed on the other computers / workstations and through the network, accesses the store database located on the server computer.

Both variations uses an enterprise level SQL database system.

Astrix is licensed software initially provided as a fully functional 30 day trial version. If you wish to continue to use Astrix after the trial period ends, payment of a license fee is required as below. Billing can be done quarterly, semi-annually, or annually and the start of the billing period is based on the date that the software was installed.

Single User Version – $44/month

Multi-User Network Version 2 to 5 Users – $64/month

Multi-User Network Version 6 to 10 Users – $84/month

What is included

The license fee includes the online provision and installation of the software followed by an initial online training session that usually requires approximately an hour and a half. A followup online training session that covers additional functions and methods of operation is also provided.

On an ongoing basis, the license fee provides support to answer questions about the software, instructions on how to do things, assistance in resolving problems, and covers software updates.
